The Quick Search allows users to quickly find titles on TitlePage using any common identifiers such as ISBN, title, or contributor name. It provides a fast way to locate records without using the full Advanced Search interface.

Where to find Quick Search
The Quick Search feature is available to logged-in users across most pages in TitlePage – it can be found at the top right of the screen as the green and white box next to the magnifying glass icon.
How Quick Search works
Enter your search term in the search box and hit return or click the magnifying glass icon.
Quick Search automatically determines the type of search to perform based on the value entered. If the search term appears to be a barcode or ISBN, TitlePage performs a barcode search. Otherwise the system performs a combined text search.
Barcode and ISBN searches
If a 12 or 13 digit number is entered, TitlePage will treat it as a barcode or ISBN search. This will return the matching product record if one is found.
Mobile barcode scanning
On mobile devices, Quick Search also supports barcode scanning using the device camera. This allows users to scan a barcode directly from a book or product and retrieve the matching TitlePage record.
This can be activated by navigating to the Search section located at the top of the homepage and selecting "Scan barcode".
Combined text search
If the search term is not a barcode or ISBN, TitlePage performs a combined text search. This search matches your query against multiple fields at once, including title, contributors (both individual and corporate), and other key metadata. This allows you to find titles using partial information, such as an author name or keywords from the title.
Search results
If the search returns a single result (for example when searching by ISBN), you will be taken directly to the product page. If multiple results are found, the search results page will be displayed so you can select the relevant title.
Limitations
Quick Search is designed for fast lookups and broad matching rather than precise filtering. For more refined queries, such as filtering by publisher, subject, or publication date, use the Advanced Search functionality. You can access the advanced search functionality and filters from the results page of your Quick Search to refine your initial search.
