Who this is for
This article is for users who want to understand what TitlePage Express is and how to install it.
Overview
TitlePage Express was released in 2023 as a lightweight tool that allows users to quickly view key information about books. When an ISBN is detected on a webpage, a TitlePage logo will appear next to the ISBN. Clicking the logo will display key bibliographic information sourced from TitlePage.
ISBN detection
TitlePage Express can scan webpages for numbers that match the ISBN-10 or ISBN-13 format used in the book industry. When an ISBN is detected, a small TitlePage logo appears next to the number.
Clicking the logo opens a panel displaying key bibliographic information sourced from TitlePage. This may include the title, author, publisher, publication date, cover image, and other available metadata.
The extension can automatically scan pages, or if Auto Scan is turned off, you can select Scan Now from the extension menu to manually search the current webpage for ISBNs.
Auto Scan
Clicking the TitlePage Express extension icon allows you to toggle Auto Scan on or off.
When Auto Scan is enabled, the extension automatically detects ISBNs on a webpage and places the TitlePage logo next to them. Clicking the logo will display product information.
If Auto Scan is disabled, users must select Scan Now to manually search the current page for ISBNs.
