TitlePage is launching a major upgrade in August 2026. This article reflects features and workflows of the new version of TitlePage. If you’re using the legacy platform, some information may not yet apply.
Global Settings allow you to apply broad rules to your Advanced Search results, controlling what is included or excluded across all searches independently of the individual section filters.
Who this is for
This information is intended for TitlePage users who use Advanced Search and want to apply broad, persistent rules to their search results – such as limiting results to Australian or New Zealand authors, or excluding certain content types.
Overview
Global Settings allow you to apply broad rules to your search results, independent of the filters in each section. You can access Global Settings from the Advanced Search page via the Global Settings button at the top right of the search screen.
Once configured, click Apply to apply your settings, or Clear to reset them.
Include
The following options allow you to limit results to titles that match specific criteria:
- Australian Authors: limit results to titles where at least one contributor is an Australian author.
- New Zealand Authors: limit results to titles where at least one contributor is a New Zealand author.
- Use fuzzy search: enabled by default, fuzzy search broadens results to include near-matches and alternate spellings, which is useful when search terms may be misspelled or have variant forms. Note that fuzzy search may reduce precision for common or ambiguous terms.
- Published in the [Past/Next] [X] months: limit results to titles published within a selected time period, either looking back or ahead from today.
Exclude
The following options allow you to remove certain content from your results:
- Exclude content warnings: removes titles that have content warnings flagged in their metadata.
- Exclude AI assisted content: removes titles identified as having been produced with AI assistance.
Always exclude
The following options are enabled by default and will always exclude the selected formats from your results unless unchecked:
- Audiobooks: excludes audiobook formats from search results.
- Ebooks: excludes ebook formats from search results.
