TitlePage is launching a major upgrade in August 2026. This article reflects features and workflows of the new version of TitlePage. If you’re using the legacy platform, some information may not yet apply.
Filters allow you to refine search results on TitlePage after a search has been performed. They provide a quick way to narrow results without adjusting your original search criteria.
Who this is for
This information is intended for TitlePage users who want to understand how filters are applied to advanced search results.
Overview
Filters are available on the search results page after you run a search. They appear on the left-hand side of the results and allow you to narrow down results using common metadata fields. Filters work alongside Advanced Search and can be applied or removed at any time.
How filters work
Filters apply to the current search results only. You can:
- Select one or more filter options to narrow results.
- Combine multiple filters to refine results further.
- Remove or clear filters at any time.
- Continue adjusting filters without re-running your original search.
Filters update the results dynamically as they are applied.
Available filters
The available filters reflect the data present in your current search results.
- Format: Filter by product format, for example paperback, hardback, ebook, or audio.
- Availability: Filter by supply status, for example available, forthcoming, or not available.
- Publishing status: Filter by publishing lifecycle, for example active or out of print.

Filters can be reset at any time by clicking the 'clear all filters' link at the bottom of the filters.
Limitations
- Filters only apply after a search has been performed.
- Available filters depend on the metadata present in the result set.
- Some filters may return limited results if metadata is incomplete.
